Metallica have announced a remastered reissue of classic album Master of Puppets

Metallica will reissue 1986 album Master of Puppets this November in remastered form.

The reissue will be available in a number of different physical and digital forms, with an extended boxset reissue including 10 CDs and two DVDs set to include a recording of Metallica’s set at The Aragon Ballroom in Chicago in May 1986, as well as a number of interviews with the band. You can watch the band’s James Hetfield unbox the reissue via the video above.

You can find the full details of the different releases here, where the reissue is also available for pre-order ahead of its November 10 release date.

Master of Puppets was originally released on March 3rd, 1986, on Elektra Records and went on to become the first Metallica album to be certified Platinum by the RIAA. Last year, the record became the first metal album to be added to the National Recording Registry of the Library of Congress, an honour which is granted to works deemed "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant".
