Melt Yourself Down produced one of our favourite albums of the year with their self-titled debut record, a mind-meld of psych and jazz scattered with electronic matter, or "punk jazz funk afrobeat blues hip-hop no-wave free-jazz dance psychedelic rock", as our reviewer Nick Southall’s valiant attempt at nailing down their sound put it. As a fine example of the above, the band have today released the video for their new single ‘Camel’, drawing on footage filmed at the album launch at London’s Electrowerkz earlier this year – have a watch up top. If that wasn’t enough, the band are also streaming the album in its entirety – have a listen to it at the foot of the piece and head over to their Bandcamp to get hold of it.
What’s more, the band are due to set off on a four-date tour of England in November after a festival stop-off this weekend – the dates (which are due to be added to with shows in Europe and the U.S.; stay tuned for further announcements) are below:
