Mastodon are set to release their ninth studio album, Hushed And Grim, next month.
Billed as a double album, Hushed And Grim comes four years on from the band’s last full-length effort, Emperor Of Sand, and was recorded in their hometown of Atlanta, Georgia. The new record, a press release explains, "is steeped in one of the darkest periods of the band’s career as each member [experienced] personal grief" while working on it. Reprise Records will release Hushed And Grim on October 29, 2021.
