Massive Attack Plan Mezzanine Live Show

A one-off tour from Massive Attack will see them recreate their Mezzanine album live two decades on from its release

Massive Attack have confirmed plans for a one-off tour around their 1998 album Mezzanine.

Dubbed ‘Mezzanine XX1′, the audiovisual show will feature Cocteau Twins’ Elizabeth Fraser and design from Massive Attack’s Robert Del Naja. Further live collaborators will be announced ahead of the dates too.

The show will see Mezzanine re-imagined two decades on from its original release "using custom audio reconstructed from the original samples and influences," according to a press release announcing the tour.

"It’s going to be a one off piece of work; our own personalised nostalgia nightmare head trip," says Del Naja of the show.

The tour will kick off in late January and take them to Manchester, Glasgow, London and Bristol, as well as around Europe. You can find the full list of dates here ahead of tickets going on sale from tomorrow (October 31).

Next month sees the group release a special 20th anniversary edition of Mezzanine while they also recently revealed plans to reissue the album as a spray can.
