Full details have been announced of Mary Anne Hobbs’ series of ‘All Queens’ residencies on BBC Radio 6 Music, which continue throughout this month.

The project, which will see a different female artist selected by Hobbs host their own show, is an extension of the ‘All Queens’ project which has been a fixture of Hobbs’ mid-morning BBC Radio 6 Music show since 2019. The shows are being broadcast as part of her New Music Fix show on Fridays from 1am UK time. The first, featuring Kelly Lee Owens, is available to listen back to now via BBC Sounds. Subsequent shows will come from TAAHLIAH on October 14, HAAi on October 21 and Nia Archives on October 28.

In August, Hobbs’ ‘All Queens’ project took in a takeover at the BBC Radio 6 Music Stage at London’s All Points East festival. She also curated an event at London club fabric on International Women’s Day 2022, featuring all-female DJs and all-female staff.
