Mark Fry To Perform Dreaming With Alice

Acid-folk doyen plays 1972 LP at The Village Underground tomorrow

Mark Fry, whose 1972 album Dreaming With Alice is considered a seminal psych-folk record, will perform songs from that LP and his 2011 release I Lived In Trees tomorrow night (19th April) at The Village Underground in Shoreditch.

A beautiful, bewitching record, which has received admiring nods from the likes of Four Tet and MGMT, Dreaming With Alice is also something of a vinyl rarity, trading for upwards of £1,800 these days. His band for tomorrow night’s performance will bring together an impressive line-up in itself: Lemon Jelly’s Nick Franglen, Mercury Rev’s Grasshopper, Super Furry Animals’s Guto Pryce and Tunng’s Martin Smith, along with Nick Palmer from The A. Lords, who recorded the 2011 album with Fry.
