LISTEN! Mark Dicker & John Doran On NTS

Don’t Trip w/ John Doran & Mark Dicker – 1st December 2014 by Nts Radio on Mixcloud

Experimental musician and member of Palehorse and Trencher, Mark Dicker was joined by John Doran for an NTS radio show on Monday, serving up two hours of improvised electronic music, spoken word and DJing… and you can listen to the show above.

The pair were invited by the Don’t Trip show host and curator Margarita Louca to take over the airwaves (web waves?) for a couple of hours [9 – 11pm] on the online community radio station dedicated to forward thinking music.

Dicker will be used his modular synth and other devices to summon up occult frequencies while Doran read out a story about the ritual killing of Dapper Laughs, a 24 hour guide to which bus routes are haunted by ghosts in Hackney and an extract from his new book Jolly Lad.

On top of that they also played tracks by the likes of L.Pierre, John Bender, Kemper Norton, Victrola, Nurse With Wound, Jane Weaver, Jozef Van Wissem, Maurice Louca, Selim Lemouchi And His Enemies, A Hawk And A Hacksaw, Larry Young, XTG, James Holden, Sajeida Obeid, Mohammad Al Ali, Katy Gately and a dub reggae remix of Richard Burton reading from Dylan Thomas’ Under Milk Wood.
