Manuel Göttsching Streams E2-E4 Show

Ash Ra Tempel guitarist to live stream a Japan performance of famous album, to raise money for earthquake charities

Manuel Göttsching, guitarist of Ash Ra Tempel and kosmische pioneer, is to perform his seminal album E2-E4 in full in Japan this weekend, at Dommune’s charity concert at Makuhari Messe, Chiba to raise money for children orphaned by last year’s earthquake and tsunami. The performance, which takes place at 4:30am Japanese time on Sunday 12th, will also be streamed live online – it will start at 8:30pm UK time on the night of Saturday 11th. It’s only the seventh time Göttsching has ever performed the album, which was originally released in 1984, in full.

Entry to the concert itself is free, as is watching the live stream, but the organisers are asking for donations to help raise money. You can donate money at the concert’s site, and more information and the stream will be available on the Dommune website.
