WATCH: Dizzy Spell On The Holy Bible

The performer discusses her relationship with the Manics' seminal album

This week, we’ll be hosting five video interviews from the upcoming documentary The Holy Bible: My Testament. It’s been made by Cardiff-based production company Barefoot Rascals and presented by Simon Price, and coincides with the band playing the album live in full to mark its 20th anniversary, culminating this week with three shows at London’s Roundhouse.

Following Simon giving his own testament, today’s video features Dizzy Spell, the performer and artist who worked with the band in adapting Everything Must Go as a play. They discuss encountering the album long after it was released and why it resonated with her. Says Dizzy: "I’d always felt like an underdog and this was sort of a soundtrack to the underdog generation. It was that moment, where it’s, ‘Hang on a minute, I’ve had that thought, hang on a minute, that’s exactly how I feel’." Watch that above and stay tuned for more videos throughout the week.
