Following on from the release of their sterling, Jovian Bow Shock Prize-nominated album Futurology – in the words of Simon Price, a "bona fide, solid-as-granite masterpiece" – the Manic Street Preachers have had a remix of the album’s title track from ascendant producer R.Seiliog. The song’s pulsating electronic matter and stone-cold pop anthem quality collide nicely with Seiliog’s Krautrock-nodding sensibilities, working towards a strobing climax which finally spills over into a brass-lined cataclysm of a conclusion – have a listen above. While you’re at it, read Robert Barry’s interview with Nicky Wire and keep an eye on the Quietus for further Manics coverage.
