Mamuthones And Exotic Pylon Sinfonia Live

This Friday at the Vortex Jazz Club in Dalston, The Quietus’ Jonny Mugwump is throwing his monthly exotic pylon night.

This month stars the Exotic Pylon Sinfonia (Position Normal, I am a Vowel, Time Attendant, Kathy Pearlson and Schema Film) ), abstract audio-visual duo Sculpture, Mamuthones– a 4-piece Italian psych-rock-drone quartet (featuring the extraordinary wildcard of 62-year-old drummer Maurizio Boldrin a veteran of countless Italian scenes and ex-member of Pino Donaggio’s band) and the intense obsessive hyper-horror duo Jigoku comprising Cherrystones and DJ Lovely Jon. Jigoku have been mashing up exploitation visuals with genre-trashing DJ/performance sets for many years now and deserve some long-due recognition.
