Magma Documentary At Film Festival

The film chronicling Magma's tour of China will be premiered on September 25 as part of Doc'n Roll Festival

Nĭhăo Hamtaï follows legendary French prog-rock group Magma on their first ever tour of China. Consisting of concert footage interspersed with clips of everyday life in China’s metropolises, the film tries to capture the atmosphere of the tour that took place in May 2015.

The film will be shown on September 25 at Dalston’s Rio Cinema as part of Doc’n Roll Festival and will be followed by a band Q&A moderated by snooker champion and Magma aficionado Stave Davis. Doc’n Roll is host to screenings of mostly under-the-radar music films all year, taking place mainly but not only in London.

The Doc’n Roll Festival London will take place 4 – 13 November. Directly following the screening, Magma are set to perform at Café Oto on three consecutive nights, all of which are already sold out. Tickets for the premiere ofNĭhăo Hamtaï can be bought here. More info on the festival can be found here. You can check out a teaser for the film above.
