WIN: Lunar Festival Tickets

Plus, a crate of Purity Beer to be enjoyed at the Warwickshire three-dayer, boasting Tim Burgess, British Sea Power and Toy on the bill, next weekend

The Quietus has a pair of tickets to give away for the excellent Lunar Festival, taking place on Umberslade Estate in Tanworth-In-Arden, Warwickshire next weekend, June 6-8.

With three stages and set over three days, the line-up boasts an intriguing mix of modern indie bands (the good kind) and old psych and folk luminaries. Motorik jangle-rockers Toy and psych-poppers Temples will be performing along with Quietus favourites British Sea Power and Tim Burgess. Barmy troubadour and utter legend Donovan headlines Saturday, along with sets from Andy Votel and amazing folk-baroque guitarist John Renbourn, who will be performing with Wizz Jones. The brilliantly dour Michael Chapman will also make an appearance, along with Irish psych-folk duo Tir Na Nog. Midlands krautrock will be strongly represented by ex-Broadcast members Seeland and Moseley’s Pram, whilst The Magic Band and the Crazy World of Arthur Brown will bring the weird.

Tanworth-In-Arden being Nick Drake’s hometown, festivalgoers will also have the chance to listen to the artist’s own copy of his brilliant final LP Pink Moon on his personal record player.

Head to the festival’s website for full details and to get hold of tickets. However, to be in with a chance of winning two tickets for the festival, along with a crate of ace Purity Beer, just send your answer to the following question to comps@thequietus.com, with ‘LUNAR’ in the subject line.

Q. What is the name of British Sea Power’s 2013 album?
