Ascendant South Shields dance-pop singer Lulu James last week announced on Radio 1 that she’s got a new single on the way – ‘Step By Step’ will be out via RCA on August 11, and you can listen to it below:
It’s another ace cut, following on from her previous single ‘Closer’: the pristine synths and four-on-the-floor beat underneath a soaring vocal line that echoes Donna Summer is a good start, before the terse, nervy stop-start drums give way to a chorus that’s nothing short of outright club banger.
