The Quietus is very pleased to tell you that Jeff Mangum has picked some more cracking acts for his All Tomorrow’s Parties festival that takes place between December 2nd and 4th of this year. Low will join the likes of Fleet Foxes, Minutemen, Young Marble Giants, Tinariwen, and Scratch Acid, along with The Fall – who will hopefully be airing material from their much-anticipated Greek Heavy Metal Album – Colin Stetson, Micachu & The Shapes and Lost In The Trees.
Most intriguing of all is the Boredoms performance, about which we are told the following: "In 2011 the legendary Boredoms have been recording a new album. Their performance will be very rare and entirely new to the UK. Eye will play a sensor from the center of the drummers, less a conductor and more the nexus of an energy orb. Music and performance are intertwined and for The Boredoms it is a living and breathing whole. A being, greater than the some of it’s parts, and ever evolving. Join the experience and be part of the evolution. It will change how you listen to and how you see music and musical performance." We’re not entirely sure how they’re planning to do this, but suspect that you will want to be there.
In addition to the Festival itself, ATP have also confirmed some very special London dates. Jeff Mangum will play two gigs at the lovely Union Chapel on December 8th and 9th. Tickets are onsale from later today, June 1st, and you can buy them via the ATP website.
