Lost Girls Detail New Album, ‘Selvutsletter’

It marks the second album from the collaborative project of Jenny Hval and Håvard Volden

Lost Girls are releasing a new album, Selvutsletter.

Out in October, the eight-track album marks the second full-length offering from the collaborative project of Jenny Hval and Håvard Volden, following 2021 debut Menneskekollektivet. Where that record saw the duo explore club beats, this new album is said to take experimental rock music as its main focus. They translate the album’s title as "self-effacer: someone who tries to erase themselves. Someone who is cleaning out themselves. Performing exorcism. Or perhaps just getting older, less interested in their own present self."

The duo shared lead single ‘Ruins’ in July, and have now unleashed another cut from the record, ‘With The Other Hand’, which is inspired by the work of Leonard Cohen and can be listened to above.

Smalltown Supersound will release Selvutsletter on October 20, 2023.
