Lone Taxidermist, ILL, Ikonika, Nabihah Iqbal and Kathryn Williams are among the many artists playing Violets, a week’s worth of gigs held at Cobalt Studios, Boyd Street, Newcastle in order to showcase female talent based around the principles of "quality, originality and strength".
The week kicks of next Tuesday (February 27) with Martha Hill, Ceitidh Mac and Laurie Shepard and concludes the following Sunday (March 4) with Kathryn Williams, The Breath and HQFU.
Friday (March 2) sees a more club-oriented line up with Ikonika & Nabihah Iqbal and Saturday (March 3) has the all-killer no-filler line up of Lone Taxidermist, ILL, Charismatic Megafauna and Candy Vortex… literally what more could you ask for?
