All-Night London Overground Service Begins On December 15

London Overground will roll out all-night weekend services from December 15 giving anticipated boost to East London's nighttime economy

A date of December 15 has been set for the launch of the all-night London Overground service.

The service will roll out on Fridays and Saturdays from then onwards connecting passengers on both sides of the river between New Cross Gate and Dalston Junction. It’s anticipated that the move will give East London’s nighttime economy a considerable boost, as was the case across London following the launch last year of the night tube.

"I’m delighted that we can bring night services to the east London line for the first time ever next month," said London mayor Sadiq Khan announcing the move. "The Night Tube has proven such a success with Londoners, I know the Night Overground will help thousands more who are working through the night or out enjoying our capital’s nightlife."

The service will connect those in South East London with a number of nighttime venues in East London at all hours of the night when it’s launched.
