London club fabric is rounding off its 25th anniversary year with a book chronicling its history to date.
The 300-page book, simply titled fabric, is written by music journalist Joe Muggs, and additionally comes with an introduction by former BBC Radio 1 DJ Annie Mac, as well as a foreword by writer and DJ Bill Brewster.
fabric covers various stories from throughout the club’s time open, from its birth that saw its founders convert a derelict meat store into one of London’s best-loved nightclubs, through to standout parties and less positive moments, such as the revoking of the venue’s license in 2016.
Muggs’ oral history of fabric, which features more than 100 testimonies from DJs and figures associated with the club, is also accompanied by photography, archival imagery and iconic flyers.
In a statement, Cameron Leslie, co-founder and director of fabric, said: “Creating the book has been a remarkable journey and a rewarding experience. Seeing that, even after 25 years, our contribution is still impact in the London scene is humbling and is certainly something that motivates us to keep pushing boundaries, as well as supporting the community that surrounds us and has given us so much.”
White Rabbit will publish fabric on December 3, 2024.
