Liverpool International Festival of Psychedelia has announced its decision to take a fallow year in 2018.

The announcement was made last night on the event’s Facebook page, which said:

“After six years of constant growth and development, we have taken the decision to take a fallow year in 2018. The festival will return in 2019, as we continue to challenge the idea of what constitutes the modern psychedelic condition. Thank you to every member of the PZYK Congregation who has been part of the journey so far: now is the beginning of a new future.”

It also released a longer statement on its website, which outlined its decision in more detail. That statement can be found <a href=http://www.liverpoolpsychfest.com/2018/01/pzyk-communique-futures-in-drone/" target=”out”>here.

2017 was the sixth edition of the festival, which has grown continuously to become one of the best regular fixtures in British underground music. For our review of last year click here.
