Mysterious Gothenburg psych-magi Goat have been announced as headliners for the 2014 Liverpool International Festival of Psychedelia, taking place on September 26-27 of next year, once again at the city’s Camp & Furnace venue. They join a host of excellent first names, with Quietus favourites Teeth Of The Sea, Hills, Gnod and Sudden Death Of Stars catching our eye in particular. They’re all lining up alongside Lay Llamas, Anthroprophh, The Janitors, Zombie Zombie, Les Big Byrd, Vaadat Charigim, Dark Bells, In Zaire, One Unique Signal and Cantaloupe in the first round of names confirmed.
Goat, Hills, Gnod, TotS and Lay Llamas’ appearances will all come as part of Transmissions From The Outer Realms, a section of the festival curated by the very fine Rocket Recordings (read our recent Anniversary piece marking the label’s 15 years of existence here). Early bird tickets at £40 have gone on sale today, which you can get from the festival’s new website, and watch the brilliant and suitably entrancing teaser video below:
