The Liverpool International Festival Of Psychedelia has just announced the initial round of names for this year’s event, taking place at Liverpool’s Camp And Furnace venue over September 27-28.
Heading the bill is hyper prolific psychman Ty Segall with his new band Fuzz (above), who’ll be playing their first UK gig for the festival, and ace Scousers Clinic, who recently released their Oneohtrix Point Never-produced Free Reign II. There’ll also be sets from Sacred Bones labelmates NYC psych-experimenters Psychic Ills and The Holydrug Couple, fresh off the back of their new album Noctuary.
Joining them on the bill will be The Limiñanas, Jacco Gardner, Carlton Melton, The Wands, Plankton Wat, Maston, The Paperhead, Mmoss, Klaus Johann Grobe, The Resonars and Alfa 9, as well as a stage curated by Chicago label Trouble In Mind Records, who’ll be bringing over a chunk of artists from their roster – keep an eye on the site for a mix from their resident DJ Psyched Alex.
There are a handful of £30 early bird tickets left – to get hold of them, head here.
In advance of the festival, there are a couple of Psych Fest Presents warm-up events at Camp And Furnace’s Blade Factory room, with festival alumni Hookworms on April 4, with support from Baltic Fleet, and Finnish synth-pop trio K-X-P on April 24 – get tickets here.
Stay tuned to the Quietus and the Psych Fest’s own site for all updates.
