In advance of the release of their new album Coracle, London duo Walls have made Holy Other’s remix of latest single ‘Sunporch’ available for download.
In keeping with the duo’s original, the Tri Angle records producer keeps the blissed out mood intact, but adds an ambient/post-dubstep sensibility to the equation. The result sounds very now, in (two-)step with the current bloom in downbeat, trip-hoppy bass music, but is very pretty nonetheless, passing by in a grainy, acid-washed blur that just screams out for night time public transport.
Walls’ Coracle is released on 3rd October on Kompakt, and is described as taking a more ‘dance-oriented stance’ than their 2010 debut, drawing in influence from classic Detroit and Chicago sounds alongside the last album’s love of krautrock and shoegaze.
