LISTEN: Track From Alif’s Debut LP

Listen to a premier of Alif's Holako (Hulagu), taken from their debut LP from Nawa Recordings, out Friday, September 4.

tQ are proud to premier the first track from the upcoming self-produced debut LP, Aynama-Rtama, by the experimental five-piece, Alif. The first track from the album is called Holako (Hulagu), and it can be streamed above.

Using a poem by late Iraqi poet Sargon Boulus, his work is soundtracked for the first time with a rolling and frenetic energy. The album was recorded between Beirut and Cairo last year, and will be released both digitally and on vinyl on September 4. The album will be accompanied with English translations of the lyrics and poems by Nariman Youssef. You can pre-order the album here and here.
