The Jim Jones Revue release their third album, The Savage Heart, on October 15 via Play It Again Sam/Punk Rock Blues, and ahead of that we’ve got an exclusive stream of the LP – listen below:
The manic rockers have added a new member, Henri Herbert on keyboards, to their arsenal, lending a touch of the boogie to their raw rock ‘n’ roll. Additionally, they’ve been trying to broaden their sonic palette, aided by Bad Seed and Grinderman member Jim Sclavunos on production duties, all part of a conscious evolving of their sound. Says Mr Jones himself: “While the group look back into the roots of rock n’ roll, we’ve never gone backwards in what we do. It’s always about pushing things forward for us.”
