LISTEN: South London Ordnance (Factory Floor Remix)

Stream Nik Void's stark and noisy remix of South London Ordnance's 'Modular Splash', taken from upcoming EP

South London Ordnance, the producer responsible for a clutch of broken house and techno-leaning releases for labels such as Hotflush and Well Rounded, is set to release a new extended EP on August 19th. Titled He Do The Police In Different Voices, it’s released through his newly founded own label Aery Metals. It’s headed up by three original tracks, including two with guest vocalists – Femme En Fourrure and Brolin – and is rounded off with a clutch of remixes from some illustrious names: JD Twitch of Optimo, Chris Carter (who turns in a lovely, slow, atmospheric reworking) and Factory Floor’s Nik Colk Void.

In advance of the EP’s release we’re pleased to be able to offer you a stream of Void’s remix of ‘Modular Splash’, which scorches an underlying morse code bleep rhythm with blasts of distortion, fizz and grit, hinting towards dance music but teasingly never fully exploding into life.
