The Soft Moon, the project by Oakland’s Luis Vasquez whose 2010 self-titled debut was a dizzying collision of motorik rhythms, scorched-earth guitar and half-sung, half-chanted vocals, are set to release its follow up via Captured Tracks on 5th November. It’s entitled Zeros, and we’re pleased to be able to offer you the full album to stream – listen via the embed below.

Unlike Zasquez’s debut, Zeros was recorded while touring, and, according to the text accompanying the album’s release, was intended to be "just as primal and enveloping", so he "so set to paring down his post-apocalyptic soundscapes …. What was began as barely controlled exorcism became an exercise in control." It’s just as feral and immersive a listen as its predecessor.
