LISTEN: New Prurient

Listen to a track from Dominick Fernow's new LP for Blackest Ever Black

As we’ve previously reported, Dominick Fernow is set to release a new Prurient album through London’s Blackest Ever Black label. Entitled Through The Window, it was recorded during the same sessions that gave birth to 2011’s Bermuda Drain and Time’s Arrow, and like those records, takes significant steps away from Fernow’s wall-of-scathing noise approach of old, in favour of something more obviously influenced by techno and electro-pop. You can hear all sorts of different influences at play in ‘You Show Great Spirit’, for example, which you can listen to below. Like the more mellow and contemplative side of his Vatican Shadow project, it touches on Sandwell District’s slowly evolving, dubby techno, post-punk, coldwave, 80s electronic pop and more.

Through The Window will be released on Feburary 25th on CD, LP, download and limited cassette. For more information head across to the Blackest Ever Black website.
