Norwegian purveyors of fast and dirty rock & roll Okkultokrati have their second album ready for release – Snakereigns is out on November 12th via Fysisk Format. You can listen to opening track ‘No Ouroboros’ below:
The Oslo band boast a few members of Haust within their ranks and, together with that band and Dark Times among others, form part of the Norwegian Black Hole Crew. Snakereigns was produced by Årabrot producer and Serena Maneesh member Emil Nikolaisen, who says: "The recording was pretty much just a matter of getting mics and valves on fire. Just with one guitar down Okkulto sounded huge."
Mind you, not everything’s too extreme with these guys. Lyrically, they’ve chosen to "deal with the great end on three levels: the end of the universe, the end of the world and the end of self." Good.
