LISTEN: New ZA!

Spanish duo share lead track from new album; listen to it below

Spanish duo ZA! have been garnering a fair bit of praise since the self-release in 2013 of their album WANANANAI and now they are gearing up for the release of their second album. You can check out the album’s lead track, ‘Badulake’, above.

The track epitomises the duo’s characteristically madcap style. The album, LOLOISMO, will be released by Hot Salvation Records and Sheffield DIY collective The Audacious Art Experiment. The album takes its name from ‘Loloiza’, the Spanish phrase for football chants that can be heard at matches across the country with the band setting out, at the start of working on the album, to specifically avoid repetition of songs with the multi-instrumentalists further exploring different sounds and ways of playing with their instruments. The duo describe the album as “Loloizable experimental music with a chorus”. It’s out on January 29 and a UK tour will follow soon after. You can find the full list of dates below. You can pre-order the album here.
