YACHT are due to release their second album, Shangri-La, through DFA on June 27. The duo recorded the album with regular collaborator Bobby Birdman at the Marfa Recording Company, Jackpot! Studios and ‘temporary living quarters’ in Los Angeles. As its title suggests, Shangri-La is an album concerned with the attainment of utopia, reflected in the cover art that has been painted by prominent science fiction illustrator Jim Burns.
