Xylouris White is the pairing of Cretan lute player George Xylouris and drummer Jim White, and they are currently readying their second album, Black Peak, for release with Bella Union. Above, you can check out a track from it called ‘Forging’.
The track is a driving, perfect introduction to their sound if you’re not already familiar, and is an immediate sign of the change from their mostly instrumental debut, with George Xylouris taking on vocals on the track.
"As we work together we can see the horizon is always open," says Xylouris, "because thatǯs how we work. We give each other space, and that comes from the space we always try to give the bands and the people who we work with in the past." Black Peak is out on October 14.
