Scottish singer-songwriter Johnny Lynch, otherwise known as Pictish Trail, has released a new track from upcoming album Future Echoes. The track, entitled ‘Dead Connection’, streams above.
‘Dead Connection’ follows the first single off the record, ‘Far Gone (Don’t Leave)’ – a dreamy track in which the Coen brothers’ Fargo meets a bit of hip hop. The record follows well-received double album Secret Soundz Vol. 1 & 2, and has been in the works for a few years. Recorded in London but written in the Hebridean isle of Eigg, Future Echoes touches on psychedelic disco and pop, among others. Lynch has brought back longterm collaborator Adem Ilhan as a producer, and the album also features work from Rob Jones, Alex Thomas and Guy Davie.
Future Echoes is set for release on September 9. Pictish Trail comes to London on October 4. Find tour dates and tickets here.
