Nihiloxica, a band formed of Kampala’s Nilotika Cultural Ensemble in collaboration with UK producers pq and Spooky-J, have shared their new single ‘Tewali Sukali’.

The track comes from their debut full-length album Kaloli on June 12 via Crammed Discs, which follows a number of absolutely outstanding EP releases and live slots including supporting Aphex Twin.

The album’s name comes from the Luganda word for the Marabou stork, carrion birds that are freakishly large in size and commonly spotted in areas of waste, their brutality softened when they start to fly.

A live performance is also currently planned for June 23 at London’s Jazz Cafe.
