LISTEN: New Mogwai

New album made up of reworked versions of the music the band recorded for a documentary's soundtrack; check out a new track below

Mogwai have announced the release of a new album titled Atomic. Above, you can check out ‘U-235’ from the album.

Atomic is comprised of reworked versions of the music recorded for the soundtrack to Mark Cousins’ documentary Atomic: Living In Dead and Promise, which received its first airing on BBC Four last summer.

“The Atomic soundtrack is one of the most intense and fulfilling projects we’ve taken on as a band,” says Mogwai’s Stuart Braithwaite. “Ever since we went to Hiroshima to play and visited the peace park this has been a subject very close to us. The end results, both the film score and the record are pieces I’m extremely proud of.” The ten-track album is set for release on April 1 via Rock Action. New live dates will be announced shortly.
