Kuedo has announced the release of his second album, entitled Slow Knife, his first since 2011’s excellent Severant.
The album will arrive via Planet Mu, who released his debut, and follows on from last year’s EP, Assertion Of A Surrounding Presence, a favourite last year in the tQ office. Above, you can check out the lead track, ‘In Your Sleep’, which features vocals from Wild Beasts’ Hayden Thorpe.
The album itself in inspired by film soundtracks with films such as the Michael Mann-directed Manhunter, Angel Heart and Night of the Hunter all cited as influences, as well as Mica Levi’s soundtrack for Under The Skin. The album is out on October 16.
