London-based producer Imaginary Forces has a busy few months ahead of him with a number of projects on the horizon including a release later this year on a new label from Rabit. Ahead of that is an album on Entr’acte called Low Key Movements which is out now, as well as a 12” on the Bedouin label which is due to follow shortly. To celebrate these releases, the producer has put together a 45-minute mix which you can listen to above.
The mix is specifically in support of his forthcoming Bedouin EP, with the mix containing all new and unreleased Bedouin tracks, some of which have been specially remixed and edited for the mix. The focus, he says, of all three releases is a continuation of themes covered on the Corner Crew EP which was released last August on the Sleep Codes label. “A focus on my working class background and all the issues that come with that regarding race, identity, etc.,” he says. “This is, in part, why I wanted to get some London MCs on things to give a more direct voice rather than just a track title and abstracted beats.”
