Iggy Pop has shared the second taste of his eighteenth studio album Free, in the shape of new single ‘James Bond’.

The slinking and swaggering new track features Faith Vern of PINS on additional vocals, returning the favour after Iggy contributed to the Manchester band’s track ‘Aggrophobe’ in 2017.

"I’ve never had more fun singing a lyric. Faith’s reading is so loaded, and Leron [Thomas’] production and trumpet along with the band swings like crazy," says Iggy.

It’s the former Stooges man’s first record since 2016’s acclaimed Post-Punk Depression, which was announced earlier this month along with the title track.

Free is out on September 6 via Loma Vista Recordings/Caroline International.
