Russia’s Full Of Nothing label is a particular favourite of ours here at tQ pushing forward an out-there brand of dark pop music and run by Love Cult. Now they’re set to release a new album from Erik Levander which you can check out in full above.
Described as falling "in the cracks between classic Fennesz records, Ben Frost and murky The Cure bootlegs on YouTube," the album has been pieced together from a variety of lo-fi recordings obtained through old Walkmans, dictaphones and radios, creating a sound that will appeal wholly to fans of the Full Of Nothing sound and, if you’re not familiar with them, their brand of broken electronics may just be for you too.
The album, entitled Halv, is out on June 13 and can be pre-ordered here.
