Quietus favourites Death Grips, whose mixtape/LP Ex Military was one of our highlights of last year, have made a manoeuvre into 2012 with a new song and video uploaded onto YouTube and their Thirdworlds website. The track, which appears to be untitled, furthers the mix of hip hop and noise that characterised last year’s ominous debut, featuring oppressive electronics, sirens, heartbeat beats and deep vocals fighting their way out of the whole. Basically, it’s like an American cousin to something Mr Kevin Martin might conjure up. The video features helicopters, radar screens, and plenty of end times badness. Check it out below.
