Glasgow based psychedelic powerhouse the Cosmic Dead return with their latest album, Rainbowhead, which will be released on March 25 via Blackest Rainbow records. The record is the quartet’s first full-length release since 2014’s Easterfaust, and their sixth studio album overall.
The four improvised compositions contained within were recorded live in a remote cottage near Kyle of Lochalsh in the Highlands of Scotland, offering a glimpse into the rhythmic interplay of their bonkers and highly renowned live sets. With a relentless European touring schedule the Cosmic Dead has won many admirers, and they will be taking their Buckfast-fuelled space rock even further afield in 2016, with appearances at Psycho Las Vegas in the US and the Indie March festival in India.
200 limited copies of the release have been pressed on green & cream swirl coloured vinyl, available exclusively direct from Blackest Rainbows’ shop Bear Tree Records in Sheffield, with the rest available worldwide on coke bottle clear vinyl. You can pre-order the album here now.
