It’s a bit of a shame that when Grinderman and Josh Homme met, it was apparently in an American diner. With their facial adornments and desert sun squints, it would perhaps have been more fitting if the five fantasist cowboys had they met in some blasted town, both sides eyeing each other up suspiciously, occasionally spitting in the sand before settling their differences over rye and carousing in a house of ill repute. Anyway, Homme’s reworking of ‘Micky Mouse and the Goodbye Man’ is ace, and below, and out on 12" and download on June 13th.
