LISTEN: Exotic Pylon Compilation

Contributions from acts including Kemper Norton to raise money for mental health charity MIND

Former tQ writer and friend Jonny Mugwump has reconvened a number of the acts that made up his Exotic Pylon label for a compilation release of brand new and exclusive tracks, all with the intention of raising money for mental health charity MIND. You can preview the release, via Bandcamp, above.

Across the compilation’s 16 tracks there are contributions from a number of tQ friends and favourites including Kemper Norton, IX Tab and Shape Worship among others. A message accompanying the release of the compilation, entitled XPYLON, says: “The one thing that united everyone on Exotic Pylon was a sense of comradeship. We were all proud to have been involved in some way or another. We were all members of the same invisible college. Almost without exception we all kept in contact with each other once the label had died. It may have disappeared but its spirit has remained.” Among the tracks there are also “supergroups” and collaborations. You can find out more about the work of MIND and donate directly here.
