In 2015, Efterklang embarked on a new project which saw them present 16 sold-out shows of their opera known as Leaves – The Colour Of Falling. Now they are set to release it officially and you can check it out in full above.
The opera saw them collaborate with composer Karsten Fundal and this release marks their first since 2014 when the band said that they were taking some time out to reflect on their work as a group. The opera is coloured by the vocals throughout of the band’s five vocalists with it originally being created as the result of a commission from the Copenhagen Opera Festival.
Leaves – The Colour Of Falling is out on November 4 and the band will play the album live alongside The Happy Hopeless Orchestra at the Barbican on March 9.
