As we <a href="http://thequietus.com/articles/09498-listen-david-lynch-remixes
" target="out">reported last week, Sunday Best are putting out an EP of David Lynch remixes, released online on August 6 and on 12" vinyl on August 20. It collects together a series of remixes of songs from the Lynch’s debut album Crazy Clown Time, which found him turning the distinctive, twisted vision he has displayed in his film-making into an album’s worth of spooked and abrasive blues.
On the digital version, Sunday Best’s own Tythe reworks the album track ‘Stone’s Gone Up’, and here’s a first listen of the remix:
Tythe is a new label signing, and says this: "With one arm reaching back to the safety of the past for inspiration, fingering my way through dusty ’80s sci-fi soundtracks, krautrock and old hip hop records, my other arm stretches forward into an ‘anything-goes’ tombola, pulling out new Balearic sunset music, folk lullabies, abstract apocalyptic instrumentals and even one unabashed house track."
A full-length LP from Tythe is due out on Sunday Best in early 2013.
