Kieran Hebden (aka Four Tet) and Hyperdub’s elusive Burial have, it seems, teamed up again to work on new material. Hebden has posted ‘Nova’, a new collaboration between the two artists, on his Soundcloud. It sounds more or less as you’d expect, in a good way. You can listen to it below.
It follows on from Hebden and Burial’s previous work together – the Moth/Wolf Cub 12" in 2010, and last year’s 12" that paired them with Radiohead’s Thom Yorke. When Hebden tweeted the Soundcloud link last night, he suggested that ‘Nova’ will be the next release through his TEXT label (which was responsible for releasing both their previous collaborative records).
Burial’s latest solo release, Kindred, was recently released digitally to great acclaim. The vinyl copy is due to drop through Hyperdub soon.
