LISTEN: Abstract Club Music From Rabit

Producer shares first taste of his debut album which marks his second release for Tri Angle

Houston-based producer Rabit has shared news of the release of his debut album later this year via Tri Angle previewing the album with ‘Pandemic’, an abrasive hail of scattershot beats at the more extreme end of the club spectrum.

The album, entitled Communion, marks Rabit’s second release with Tri Angle following the Baptizm EP earlier this year, a signing that came off the back of his highly charged productions and affiliation with Berlin’s Janus crew as well as UK-based luminaries such as Mumdance and Logos via their Different Circles imprint. The album promises to explore "heavily politicised" themes and is said to be inspired by "issues relating to sexuality, gender, ownership of our natural bodies, societal and governmental injustices, and media manipulations." Communion is out on October 30 and is comprised entirely of previously unreleased material. In June, Rabit launched his own label, Halcyon Veil, which he has, so far, used to shine a light on a number of upcoming, dynamic producers such as Myth and ANGEL-HO.
