Link Of The Day: Two Geeks Review The Fall

They don't dig repetition, explore Fall/J Bieber continuum...

This has lifted our spirits this afternoon: two American internet geeks review The Fall’s Your Future, Our Clutter, and somewhat miss the point. Handily, as they complain about the drunk man with a microphone lyricism and suggesting that The Fall’s mastery of krautrockabilly dirge is like being stuck on a fairground ride, the point out every reason why tQ loves The Fall. They note that if Justin Bieber (is that the first time we’ve mentioned that squitty little herbert on tQ?) is at one end of the musical spectrum, then The Fall are at the other. They love anything between, but not this. Their dismissal of ‘Weather Report’, complete with English accent, is quite priceless… but we bet by the time the crusty joggered one with the massive eyebrows is 29 he’ll be hunting down ‘Cruiser’s Creek’ on 12" vinyl. Ta to the people of ILX for the link.
