Liars have announced details of their new album, their first since 2014’s Mess.

The as-yet-untitled album will be released in August, and follows Aaron Hemphill’s amicable departure from the project. Following his leave, Angus Andrew decamped to his native of Australia and set out to create an album unlike anything Liars had released before.

"My favourite feeling is going into the complete unknown," he says. "What’s the point in making something you know you can? My goal was to make creative decisions that keep me awake at night." You can get a glimpse of what to expect from the upcoming record via the clips above.

Liars will also play a series of live shows this summer with a new touring band backing Angus Andrew for the shows. These dates include London’s VISIONS Festival on August 5, Green Man in Brecon Beacons on August 19 and Berlin’s Pop-Kultur on August 24.
