You may recall that the other week we reported that Liars covered Bauhaus’ classic ‘In The Flat Field’ at the Pitchfork festival in Chicago. Well, we’re pleased to report that they repeated the feat at this weekend’s Standon Calling Festival, and even more pleased that the British crowd, unlike the Yanks, lost their shit to it.
Playing a headline set on the main stage, which featured perhaps the best sound tQ has ever heard at a rural festival, Liars played tracks from new album Sisterworld, the Bauhaus cover, and music from their ten years of brilliance. You always know Angus Andrew is having a good gig when he does the flappy bird arm thing.
